Foundation Friday – YSL Touche ร‰clat All-in-One Glow Tinted Moisturizer

February 22, 2019

If you had told me six (6) months ago that my skin would be dry/normal enough to test out non-mattifying, dare I say dewy, foundations, I would call you crazy! However, that’s exactly what I have been doing and what I’m doing again on another episode of Foundation Friday! Today, I’m testing out the @yslbeauty Touche Eclat All-in-One Glow Tinted Moisturizer ($48 for 1.01 ounces at @sephora).
What it claims:
๐Ÿ”˜ A skin-loving, all-in-one tinted moisturizer
๐Ÿ”˜ Evens complexion
๐Ÿ”˜ Smooths fine lines
๐Ÿ”˜ Natural, luminous finish
๐Ÿ”˜ Oil-free, noncomedogenic, talc-free and dermatologist-tested
๐Ÿ”˜ Coverage is buildable from light to medium
My experience:
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป This has a fragrance, but I don’t find it overpowering or unpleasant.
๐Ÿ”˜ I used B30 Almond, the lightest shade provided in the sample trio, and it was a little dark, but since it’s a lighter coverage, it didn’t look bad.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I didn’t use a primer because I wanted to see how it looked with unfilled pores and fine lines. Thankfully, it blurred my pores, so I don’t think a primer is necessary with this product.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป There are only twelve (12) shades in the collection. Even though the coverage is light and that means the shades are more forgiving, it still isn’t sufficient.
๐Ÿ”˜ I set my under eyes, forehead, nose and chin because I still get oily in my t-zone and wanted to give this product the best chance for success.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I used one of my current favorite foundation brushes to apply it (the @ecotools Wonder Cover Complexion Brush ($8.99 at @ultabeauty)) and it blended out beautifully to a low medium, glowy coverage.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I used a cream bronzer, blush and highlight and they applied seamlessly on top.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป It has settled slightly into my nose and chin creases and fine lines in my forehead.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป My skin has felt hydrated all day long, but that also means it has remained slightly tacky to the touch.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป Around hour four (4), I noticed that my nose was getting a oily. However, I would prefer that over it looking dry.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Seven (7) hours in, I don’t notice any fading.
My verdict?
This is such a beautiful tinted moisturizer! It gives me the perfect amount of coverage, makes my skin feel hydrated and blurs my pores! However, the price point being what it is turns me off nearly completely. I am going to use the other sample I have and may even grab a sample of the lighter shade to see if with a couple of more uses I know for sure if it’s worth the investment.
Have you tried this product? Am I crazy for considering a purchase? Or is it worth it?
