When I sat down to plan out the next month of posts, I realized I had yet to feature the @catrice.cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation ($10.99 for 1.01 ounces at @ulta) that I haven’t stopped wearing since I purchased it in mid-December!
What it claims:
🔘 Ultra-light, high coverage foundation for a natural looking finish
🔘 Covers imperfections and mattifies the skin creating a smooth and even complexion for up to 24 hours
🔘 Features a unique dropper applicator
My experience:
🔘 I use shade 030 Sand Beige (neutral undertone). It’s a little too dark for me, but not by much.
👍🏻👎🏻 The shade range is OK. On ULTA’s website, there are only four (4). On’ website, there are seventeen (17).
🔘 I normally apply this with a sponge, but today I tried a brush. I get lighter coverage with a sponge, but the look is more dewy. The brush gives me higher coverage, but the look is more matte and a tad heavier (but that’s probably because I used a little too much product today). I think I prefer, in the winter, the look it gives me with a sponge. In the summer, I may prefer the brush.
👍🏻 I have now worn this foundation on many occasions and it never fails me. While I have never (and will never) wear it for the 24 hours it claims it will last, I have given it a good sixteen (16) hours and it looks just as good then as when I put it on.
👍🏻 It does a great job of controlling my oils. Even though my skin is drier in the winter, my nose can still get oily. I normally have to blot very lightly only a couple of times throughout the day while wearing this.
👍🏻 I enjoy the dropper applicator because I have more control over how much I’m applying.
My verdict:
Considering I would likely pay triple what this foundation actually costs, I would say I’m a fan! The price is excellent, the look is smoothing, the feel is lightweight and the longevity is fantastic. If you can find it in your shade, I would highly recommend you try it out!
What is your go-to foundation at the moment?
