I’ll be honest, I have had this product in my bin of things to try for quite a while because I was afraid it wasn’t my color and wouldn’t live up to the expectations I have of something that’s so highly priced. However, I finally tried the @chanelofficial @chanel.beauty Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour in Light Rose ($38 for .10 ounces at @saks) yesterday and here are my thoughts!
What it claims:

🔘 Glossy top coat imparts brilliant shine and superb hydration, while the innovative fluid texture of the base colour coat applies smoothly, comfortably, with perfect adherence to lips — and no transferring or feathering
My experience:
🔘 I first applied this product at 8am yesterday morning.
👍🏻👎🏻 It’s not entirely opaque, so I needed to put on two (2) layers. Thankfully, it layered nicely because the color initially goes on quite hydrating feeling. After one (1) minute of dry time, I applied the glossy top coat.
👍🏻 I love the color much more than I thought I would. I am not sure I would describe it, on my lips, as a light rose color, but it’s still very wearable. It stands out without being too loud.
👍🏻 I ate breakfast and then checked my lips. Still perfect. I ate lunch and then checked my lips. Still perfect. At that point, I was six (6) hours into wear, had only applied the gloss twice and it still looked as flawless as it did when I first put it on.
👍🏻 Even when the gloss wore off, the product was still very comfortable.
👍🏻 I experienced very little transfer throughout the day.
👍🏻 I finally noticed a slight fading around ten (10) hours of wear.
My verdict?
If you couldn’t tell, I’m wowed by this product! The color is stunning and it’s the most comfortable and long-lasting liquid lipstick I’ve ever worn. The only drawbacks are the price and availability (it’s currently sold out online in several of the places it says it’s sold). However, I truly think it’s good enough to invest in at least one!
