Let’s celebrate the fact that it’s 24 degrees (balmy for January) and the winter storm will miss us here in Minneapolis! And what better way to tip my knit hat to the weather gods than with an ice cold beer?! Today, I am testing out the @bottlekeeper The Standard 2.0 Orange Bottle ($39.99 on @amazon), thanks to @ambassadhermktg!
What it claims:
🔘 Keeps your beer cold
🔘 Keep your beer protected from breaking
🔘 Built-in bottle opener
🔘 Cap seals your beer
🔘 Comes in a variety of colors
My experience:
👍🏻 Both beers I have put into it have fit well.
👍🏻 I enjoy the color.
👍🏻 The built-in bottle opener is a great feature!
👍🏻👎🏻 Alex tested out it’s ability to keep a beer cold by taking a sip every fifteen (15) minutes. The verdict was that, after four (4) hours, it was no longer an appetizing level of cold (I hate warm beer). However, up until then, it was fairly chilled.
👎🏻 What Alex found most frustrating is the string that attaches the cap to the bottle. It wouldn’t move freely and continually got wrapped up.
👍🏻 Unrelated review, this was my first time trying @breckenridgebrewery Oatmeal Stout (what’s in the BottleKeeper) and it was delicious!
My verdict?
While I really enjoy the concept, I was a bit disappointed in the length of time it kept the beer cold (especially considering he drank it inside and not in hot, outdoor conditions) and the strap. I think with the addition of a little more insulation and a better cap attachment, this could be a great product!
What’s your favorite way to keep your drink cold?
